Originally from San Antonio, Ashe Pappal came to the Triangle by way of Pittsburgh, where she studied music and established a dynamic career with involvement in almost every aspect of music. In 2008 she established her own studio, Pappal Music, with class offerings for Musikgarten, an early childhood music program, as well as private lessons for flute, piano, and music theory. In addition to freelance and chamber work, Ashe played flute with Undercroft Opera and Edgewood Symphony Orchestra. She also worked in management for the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.
Most recently, Ashe earned a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Psychological Science at University of California, Irvine — a pursuit initially sparked by her curiosity for the interactions between audiation, learning, and early childhood development. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance and a Minor in Piano from Duquesne University, and calls Raleigh home. Ashe loves working with beginning students. She strives to provide foundational musicianship skills and to instill joy through the learning process, adapting each lesson to support individual student needs.
